Solaris set to deliver 90 hydrogen-powered buses to Venice

Solaris has announced it will deliver 90 hydrogen-powered buses the transport company Azienda Veneziana della Mobilita (AVM) to deploy in Venice, Italy.

The city will receive 75 Urbino 12 hydrogen buses and another 15 Urbino 18 vehicles, with the contract including an option to increase the order quantity with an additional order of 18 more vehicles.

There are already 30 battery-powered and four hydrogen-powered Urbino 12 buses operating in Venice, with the next batch set to be delivered gradually from November 2025, and completed by 2026.
