Fuel Cell Systems appoints Dr. Lee Juby as CEO

Fuel Cell Systems Limited (FCSL) has appointed Dr. Lee Juby as its new CEO to support its growth plans in the hydrogen and fuel cell markets.

Juby will take over from Tom Chicken, who had previously been sharing the roles of CEO, Chief Technical Officer and Chief Operating Officer since investment in FCSL a year ago. Chicken will now focus on the company’s product design and development plans.

Following senior roles at Intelligent Energy and NanoSUN, Juby will bring expertise in international business development and commercialisation of advanced technology in the energy and transport sectors.

Juby is also an expert in electrical power systems and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Chartered Engineer with a doctorate from the University of Manchester’s Institute of Science and Technology.

Commenting on his appointment, Juby said, “There is a huge potential for expansion across our business. The world is finally taking notice of climate change and making significant investments. I strongly believe there is a wealth of opportunity for hydrogen and fuel cells as a key part of the solution.”

Former CEO, Tom Chicken, added, “Since the investment we achieved from Hydrasun last year, FCSL has been working on plans to deliver a range of new, innovative hydrogen products to the UK and European markets.

“This requires us to grow our team significantly in the coming months and we’re thrilled that Lee has agreed to help with our growth plans. His experience and expertise will be invaluable, and we are excited for the future of the company.”
